Are we a nonprofit?

Why are you asking for donations?

– The Monadnock Region Health Reporting Lab is funded completely by philanthropic foundations, grants, and individual donors like you. Because of this, we can offer this vital news coverage and other community resources for free to anyone who wants to read, listen or watch.

 

How are you funded?

– Our number one source of revenue comes from readers who subscribe in print or online; revenue from events and niche publications is the second-most significant source of income; print advertising in The Sentinel is third. Fundraising to support our journalism is about 4% of our revenue.

 

Are donations to The Keene Sentinel tax deductible?

– They can be. We have a fiscal sponsor, the Nackey Loeb School of Communications, through which donations can be sent and a tax deduction taken. Here’s the address:

Does my full donation go to the Health Lab?

– Yes. If you make a donation through The Keene Sentinel's donate button. No. If you send a check to the Nackey Loeb School of Communications, a 5% administration fee is deducted by the school.

 

Can I send a check instead?

- Yes. Send it to directly to The Sentinel, 60 West Street, Keene, NH 03431 or to the Nackey Loeb School as listed above. Please make a note within the memo line, "Monandock Region Health Lab. 

 

Can my business sponsor content in The Sentinel or the Health Reporting Lab?
